20 years ago today, the original RollerCoaster Tycoon came out on PC. I still play this game from time to time as it remains one of the most addicting simulation games due to a great balance of creative play and management. This franchise is also what brought me into making YouTube videos of simulation games more than 10 years ago, and it introduced me to the coaster enthusiast community - without this game, I probably wouldn't be making videos of Planet Coaster or Parkitect. Heck, both of these games might not have existed were it not for RCT.

Making a scripted a video essay like this is a very new excercise for me, but I figured that it was time to share my thoughts about this game which has always influenced everything I do on my channel but I never get to talk about that much. So here you go, I guess.
